Secure Landfill Overview

SMIW Co. operates engineered Class I landfills at our Eastern Province facility. These secure landfills are meticulously designed and operated in accordance with international standards and strict local regulatory requirements set by the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) and the National Center for Waste Management (MWAN) to prevent any environmental contamination.

Our facility features a double HDPE membrane lining with an advanced leachate collection system and two independent detection systems, offering a full capacity of approximately 68,000 m³. To guarantee maximum groundwater protection, the site is equipped with eight monitoring wells for the early detection of any potential leaks.
