Chemical Neutralization Operations
SMIW operates a robust chemical neutralization plant with a processing capacity of approximately 8 m³/hr. Acidic and caustic waste materials fall strictly into the hazardous category due to their corrosive and toxic nature. We utilize advanced acid/alkaline neutralization and oxidation-reduction techniques to safely treat these highly toxic effluents, particularly those generated by galvanizing plants, refineries, and petrochemical processes.
Treated Waste Streams
- Acidic wastewater from galvanizing and steel industries.
- Acidic sludge (Hydrochloric, Sulfuric, Nitric acid).
- Alkaline Waste (Sodium, Potassium, Calcium Hydroxide).
- Caustic waste and alkaline sludges.
Our Treatment Method
Acidic wastewater or sludge containing heavy metal ions is treated by converting them into poorly soluble compounds using alkaline reagents like Lime to adjust the pH between 6.5 and 8.5. Our unit can neutralize 55 tons per batch before the effluent is sent to bioremediation or evaporation units.
